    Administration and Database Coordinator | Society of Behavioral Medicine
    - Milwaukee, WI - September 2021 – September 2023

    In this role, I led database management efforts, enhancing accessibility and usability for improved organizational efficiency. Acting as a liaison to committees, I fostered seamless communication and collaboration. With meticulous attention, I ensured the accuracy and compliance of the association's self-audit. I managed financial transactions, including dues payments and vendor invoicing, with precision. Additionally, I coordinated conference calls and maintained the society calendar, showcasing strong organizational skills and adaptability.

    Key Accomplishments:

  • Used the data pipeline to analyze the society’s fellowship program. The goal of the analysis was to understand why members who qualify for fellow status do not choose to become fellows. Analysis led to a 75% increase in fellow applications and additional support for individuals from backgrounds that are underrepresented among fellows.
  • Managed database of 2,400 members and over 10,000 contacts. Pulled data for staff to optimize the society’s programs.
  • Implemented system to remove all duplicates from the database and prevent future duplicates.
  • In my role as staff liaison to the Organization Partnership committee and the Industry Connections committee I streamlined how the organization tracks its over 100 partnerships, worked on a system to rank and prioritize partners, maintained relationships with current partners and developed relationships with organizations and industry partners that support the strategic plan created by the board.

    As head teacher, I developed enriching programming for school-age children and oversaw virtual learning for kids in childcare during the pandemic. I prioritized the safety of both children and staff throughout all activities. Additionally, I supervised assistant teachers and efficiently managed shift logistics, including communication with other sites and handling time sheets. In this role I developed strong communication, attention to detail, and leadership skills, which are invaluable for effective data analysis.

    Working closely with grant recipients and key stakeholders engaged in the opportunity youth sector I analyzed the current state of support for Opportunity Youth in Milwaukee and developed strategies that help Opportunity Youth re-engage with either school and/or the labor market.

  • Assessed the impact of over $1 million in grants from five prominent funders, leveraging analytical insights to gauge success and drive future strategies.
  • Conducted thorough research on successful initiatives, policy developments, and critical factors influencing youth dropout rates and unemployment, contributing valuable insights to inform decision-making and program development.
